The child development center at YetOshkal Educational Services is for our younger age groups; 3-6 and 6-12. During this stage in a child's life, everything they encounter can impact their development. It is critical for young children to feel supported and cared for, as a nurturing environment can help them grow and thrive.
Ages 3-6
For ages 3-6, we've developed many great ways to help these children learn and grow while providing emotional support. Here is a short rundown of what the children between 3-6 will experience while at YetOshkal Educational Services:
- We'll watch movies together and discuss different factors, even some as serious as culture and inclusivity.
- We'll show inspirational videos to allow the kids to see what they are capable of through hard work.
- Discuss takeaways from movies, videos, etc.
- Give them small assignments to help their development, always aiding when they need help.
- These young students can even log in online to take classes, do assignments, etc.
- Finally, we guide them, helping them develop a healthy sense of support and curiosity.
Ages 6-12
When it comes to ages 6-12, a lot of what we do with these children depends on their individual, unique needs. Some of these students may need to continue the same courses as those in the 3-6 age group, while others may need more advanced education and guidance. No matter the case, each student is fully supported and personally cared for, so they get what they need. The most significant difference with this age group is that we begin discussing expectations. This is an excellent time in a child's life to start encouraging them to think about their interests, skills, etc., without pressuring or overwhelming them.
