Manager - YetOshkal Educational Services

Yetunde is an advisor on academic and behavioral intervention, as well as education quality and policies. She is professionally focused, student-oriented, and passionate about transforming lives through education.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, specializing in English, a Master’s degree in Educational Management, and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology, which she earned in 2023. As a lifelong learner, she continually builds on her academic foundations in education management and psychology, staying current with child development research and best practices through ongoing professional development. Her background in Educational Psychology and Management informs her interdisciplinary approach to student success.

Yetunde’s career spans over twenty-eight years in increasingly responsible roles within the university system, having worked at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Capella University (2019–2021), the Choice Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Coppin State University. She has dedicated her career to improving the academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students. More than an educator, she is a mentor, coach, advisor, and advocate for youth.
Yetunde’s passion for mentoring stems from her own childhood experience growing up in a polygamous family without secure attachment. Losing her mother at an early age, she navigated a complex family structure and was fortunate to find a secure attachment outside her immediate family. This experience shaped her deep commitment to providing socio-emotional support for children and adolescents, helping them build resilience and succeed in life.

Research shows that adolescence is a time of physical, cognitive, social, and emotional changes. Adolescents experience significant shifts in their family relationships, school environments, and peer affiliations, all of which impact their motivation and learning (Berks & Meyers, 2016). Studies also reveal that the adolescent brain undergoes extensive remodeling in response to experiences during development (Berks & Meyers, 2015; Hutchinson, 2015). Children with secure attachments thrive because they have significant others who are available, responsive, and supportive, enabling them to navigate adolescent challenges successfully.

Yetunde is committed to mentoring, advocacy, and evidence-based interventions that help children and young adults unlock their full potential. She is a visionary problem solver and a dedicated planner, known for tackling challenges head-on and successfully guiding students toward personal and academic success.
Her biggest professional accomplishment is her deep understanding of the factors influencing children’s behavioral, socio-emotional, and academic performance. She develops and implements strategic interventions that address these factors, ensuring that students have the resources they need to excel.

Through YetOshkal Educational Services, Yetunde continues to mentor, advocate, and empower children using an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating:
